I'm getting myviperalarm/remote starter put in my car on Tuesday. I was just wondering, does anyone know if there is a chip in the keys? My car is a 1997 A4 1.8T. The guy at the shop told me there wasn't a chip in the key a while ago when I first went to get a quote for the alarm, now when I went back he's telling me I need the bypass for the remote starter because my key has a chip... Does anyone know if in fact there is a chip in the key or is this guy just trying to get more money out of me? Thanks...
