Default Alarm going off for no real reason

So today my alarm has gone off TWICE for no real reason. I have the windows cracked a bit for ventilation... maybe sometihng got inside and made it go off?

Anyone have any ideas?

I searched... and found the answer...

The wind was probably setting off the car's sensors at the top of the door.

I'm an idiot!

its so annoying, if i have my windows cracked and the doors locked...i'll be around my house and hear it go off when my car is sitting by itself in the driveway

You can turn off the interior sensors, its in the manual.

You can adjust the sensitivity with VAG-COM. Get one if you've got an Audi.

VAG-COM for A4 (B5)

45-Int. Monitor: -- KWP-1281
VAG-COM Works fine (note: This is tied in with 35-Central Locking so it may not work with pre-'97).

Sensitivity Adjustment

[Select]
[45 - Int. Monitor]
[Adaptation - 10]

Enter channel 01
Enter a value between 50-100 (it should be 100 by default) for the sensitivity of the ultra-sound sensors
[Save]

Wow, and I thought this thread was dead. Very good info on the VAG-COM. I don't believe the adjustment will work on my 96 though. I tried communicating with the central locks and got nothing.

LOL, I guess '96 is pre-'97. [8D]
