Default car alarm going off for seemingly no reason?

so today after school, i unlocked my car, threw my book bag in the trunk and closed it, then opened the drivers door and sat down. Then the car alarm starts randomly going off. I clicked the unlock button on my remote and it was disabled, but i thought it was kind of weird.

yesterday, though i dont remember all the details, i remember the same type of thing happened to me. basically the car was unlocked and the alarm didnt go off for seemingly any reason (i.e. as if it was unlocked from the inside, or a window was broken) it just started going. is there a sensor in my car that is off? or could it just be that i might be accidentally pressing the panic button?

A lot of times this is attributed to the interior motion sensors, but those are disabled when the car is unlocked. Possible that you're just accidentally hitting the panic button but two times in two days sounds fishy to me...

Check your central locking module for water, and then scan for codes with a vag com.

I felt like such a dummy cause for a few weeks I couldn't figure out why my alarm kept going off. Turns out my windows were cracked a few inches and the wind was blowing my 9 (so far) christmas tree scenters and it was tripping my motino sensors which I didn't know I had...
