that is usually the sound it makes when installed with the pressure on the bottom or in the "reverse" position

 

I talked to the APR guys and their main recommendation was to get new spark plugs (NGK PFR6Q's with a 0.028 gap). When asked about the DV they said "it couldn't hurt to replace, but the main issue is the spark plugs."

Bullshit or good advice?

 

Very good advise, you need to lower the gap in your plugs. The stutter is you blowing out the spark. Just take your current plugs and move tha gap to .028. Also, most go to a colder plug with a chip, so that would make them 7's instead of 6's. You can still use a 6, but you may have better results with 7's. But decide that when its time to replace your plugs.

so the noise it is making is normal? it use to make a chew chew chew (volume faded as each placed) now it is just one longer quiter chheeww!!!

 

the first noise is flutter and is bad. you want the long clean release like in the second one.

 

my friend has a 007 valve on hes car and its fliped around and he gets a blow off valve sound from it and I tried fliping mines around and it dosent do itanyone hava a diverter valve that sounds just like a blow off valve...

 

ya the splitter valve from forge makes that noise. y is his backwards there is no need for it to be and it was not designed to work that way

 

he told me if you put it backwards it will make that blow off valve noise like its doing on his car but when I fliped mines around it dindt do anything just the normal chewww like always and he dosent have the splitter valve he just has the 007 valve and it sounds just like a blow off valve evry time he shifts...
