Ive been through 3 Audi A4 turbos now (98',99.5',2001') and every damn car has problems with the monitor in between the tach and spedometer. It eventually looks like chinese writing (what I tell people it is :~) and its blurry with faded lines going through it. You cant even read anything it anmore its worthless. Is there some type of recall for these or are youscrewed when it happens??? Has anyone else gone through this problem cause I have all three times.

Try a search on the subject. Youll find its very common and there is no recall.

 

Happens to almost all Audis.

yeah, i like the center lcd thing, but not if its going to break and ****.

 

Which brings me to ask, Can you install an older Dash in the newer Audis? Put the one with the lights only instead of one with the LCD? I like the LCD but it is no good if you can't see anything.

oh how we love our Audis, but they are electrical nightmares. your problem is normal, just live with it.

 

yes, its just a POS part in audis, all of them do it from 97-01 and every 96-98.5 eventually starts to have problems with the climate control, there maybe a rebuild kit other your SOL
