Default Amplifier Problem.

Hi, I just installed a new aftermarket radio/speakers/amp into my 2001 A4. I bought a radio harnest and hooked up all the wiring as in the graph. The front and rear speakers work great. The only issue is the amp does not want to go on. When I turn it on it automaticly goes into "Protective" or on my Rockford "Terminal Red" and the power does not want to go on? Did anyone ever has this issue? I hooked up all the wiring as needed. Im only thinking I might have not grounded it right. I have had the ground wire hooked up to the Rear Speaker Panel... on the middle bolt that you loosen up to remove the back panel.. Im thinking that might be the reason.... anyway any pointers who help. Thanks...

Yes, I have the blue wire running back to the amp, and the amp goes on when the radio/car is turned on. The problem is the amp goes right to "Protective Mode" or "Terminal Red" on my rockford.

disconnet the speakers from the amp and see if it still goe into protect mode if it does then you have a grounding issue if it doesn't with the amp on carfully hook up each speake and see if it goes in to protect mode if it does then that speaker might be shorted

But it the amp turns on, then it means it is grounded right? I have disconnected the speakers and it still goes into that "Safe" mode...

This is a new amp?

Is this wired to the HU or tapped off the rear speaker's?

Any chance of a pic of the wiring?

ITs brand new Rockford. I have the ground cable, grounded to the rear speaper panel on the middle bolt that u have to remove in over to remove the panel. I mean if it wasnt grounded, the amp woundnt even go on.... I did notice that I was picking up some postive feedback on the negative ground cable on the amp.... I tested it on a meter and it was hitting back some postive..
