another a4 for your opinion??
Ok found another a4, just seeing if you could five me your opinions on the price vs the car from what you can see. i checked the car fax, says no wrecks and stuff. car has had 3 owners. reports shown it had suspension work, so hopefully thats the normal stuff that needs done. the car has only 83k on it and it looks rather good to my self. im gonig to call the guy today and go look at it tonight hopefully. let me know what you guys/gals think and what are some bargaining options on this year 1999 a4 quattro 1.8t

damn, black on black 99.5 1.8t quattro 5speed...real clean looking car bring up the point about the timing belt not being done, and figure that into the barganing price...bout another grand or so
The first on you listed would be my ideal choice. It's a 99.5 which has the updated exterior, but the non drive by wire motor, which has better upgrade options. Make sure the timing belt has been done on any car ou look at that has mileage above 60k. Prices on the timing belt will be between $600 and $1200. Probably closer to $1200 in Ohio since there aren't that many Audis out there.
I'd offer $9,500 so start and no go any higher than $10K. Ask what the suspension work was. It was most likely the control arms since the bushings are known to go bad and they're under recall for certain years. If it was serviced by the dealer, ask if there are service records for it.
edit- The pre 2000 motors are more common and parts are easier to find.

Ohio is not all farmland and tractors. [8D]
That first audi looks sweet! Negotiate on the t-belt thing, but thats a nice looking car.
I found my 99.5 A4 on cars.com also. Except mine was $3,500 cheaper and had 30,000 less miles on it!
Lol, I am not trying to brag I just happend to fall on that killer deal and couldn't pass it up! That looks like a nice car, my only gripe with mine is that it is a tip, not a 5spd, thats a big plus for yours. And ofcourse like everyone else said do some bargaining!

i like it but they want to much for it, KBB which is over priced anyway only values that car around 8500-9k

Agreed, I would start an offer mid sevens, go up from there. I would say about 8k is a deal.
