aight guys so i have another problem with my '96 A4. i have had ignition switch problems twice now and fixed it myself both times. now my car turns over but will not start. i know its not the ignition switch. i saw my check computer light come on about 2 days before my car started not starting. also my odometer and trip meter flash when i put the key in the on/run position. when i try and start the car my gas guage bounces all over the place. has anyone else had this problem? i am trying to decide if i should buy a code reader and fix it myself or find a mechanic and have them take a look at it and possibly fix it. any insight on the problem would be of great help. thanks guys.

 

get a code reader before taking it some place and tell us what the codes are.
