Another SoCal GTG
ORIGINAL: T2T
I have a Vag-Com and laptop. I'll bring them to the GTG. Won't be able to stay for dinner but am looking forward to the big turnout. The last one was a lot of fun seeing everyone else's rides. Should be interesting this time. Quite a few new modes out there. I got some Neuspeed springs on my A3. Looks much better now. Lowered about two inches from the last GTG. See ya.

Bad idea to mention the SoCal GTG to people on another forum?
I've been splitting time between a forum that is a little more "B7" specific and here and there are a few people that are in SoCal from the other board.
In general, I would imagine that the Audi peeps keep it all in the family, but that doesn't mean that the occasional dipsh*t wouldn't turn it into a pissing contest between forums.
Is this type of thing frowned upon or should I mention it?
Out of respect for the people here, I thought it best to ask first before I let my gums start flappin'

UPDATE
The 93 octane program definitely has more juice than the 91. I just went around the neighborhood ripping it up. I can totally feel the difference now. It seems to take me a couple days of driving to notice the difference. Maybe I'm just slow on the uptake or the car somehow adapts and gets more powerful after several starts? Anyway, look out you APR dudes, I'm zooming your way next weekend.
Cheers!
Chef
BTW, If people from other Audi forums want to join our GTG, then they need to become AF members and participate. If that's the case, they're certainly welcome in my book. Yeah, also discourage all of the jerks from coming out. We have quality people so far and I'd like it to stay that way. Protecting the pride you know.

I like what both of you had to say and I also agree with it.
(Secretly, it was all just an attempted ploy to add 1 or 2 more people with VAG-COM's
)
I'll hold off until 2 or 3 more take place and a little bit of structure and growth is in place.

Evoic, thanks for the dinner offer but I already have a dinner date that I can't break.
Chef, the wheels and tires I've got in mind are the Kosei K1 TS wheels with Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07 tires. The wheels are 5lbs lighter than stock and you can't beat the grip of the Neova tires. Check out Car and Driver reviews.
As for the high octane fuel at Willowsprings, I'll let you know in two weeks. I'm doing a track day thru the Alfa Ramero club on July 1st and heard they have race fuel at the track. I do plan on fueling up on that to do the "Big Track". I want to see if I can hit the 140 mph mark on the straights, legally!!!!

I'm going to use it to get rid of the stupid seatbelt ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding in my ride, so I'm happy as hell someone has the software.
Do you know how to do that? It's not as clear as you might think. The Ross-Tech website says that it is a recode number and I'll have to look what the number needs to be before we can change it. But if you know how to do it, you're more than welcome to run the program yourself.
