Another SoCal GTG
BTW, I did borrow the G-Tech from my co-worker. Car is detailed and ready for the event. I'm taking it out with the wife tonight so I'll probably get some really fat seagul pooping all over the ride. Their waste is toxic in the LA area too. Tough to get off of the car.
See you tomorrow.
Cheers!

I found someone that's interested in buying my BMW, and I'm meeting them tomorrow after the meet, so I'm going to be busy detailing that ride instead.
As for the clear corner mod. No time at the moment and I'm still trying to get the nerve up to rip off the bumper and cook the headlights. [sm=insomnia.gif]
Great meet guys. Since I'm the first to post I guess I'm the fastest audi.
Irvine Spectrum was great except for those security dudes. Dont know what was his problem... maybe we should've given him a ride.
T2T, thank you for the vagcom work... I love the trip computer fuction now.
Food was good and canyon run was awesome except for those ******* MINIVANS!
I would also like to share my witnessing of audinam and chef's race... They both approached the red light light and I knew exactly what was going to happen. As the lights turn green both get good launches and both spin the tires in 2nd while chirping in third. Audinam and Chef are neck to neck all the way to the next stop light which is red. Audiname realizes his impending doom as the two lane street becomes a one laner. Nam attempts to seal his victory and tries valliantly to push Chef over. Chef refuses and Nam backs down behind Chef. Chef, with the spoils of victory, runs the red light letting everyone know that nothing can stop him.... until the cop reveals himself behind a bush.

j/k about the cop.
The canyone run on the way back was 100X better. I'll post some of my pics soon. Some suggestion for next run are:
- A longer place to drive
- better parking
- Possibly we should put our A3's back to stock for the others? There seemed to be a lot of complaints

Here's a link for a new picture thread, merge them if you want, but I was thinking a photo thread may be in order.
(And a teaser below for the folks that couldn't make it.

I realized I forgot to add something so I'm copy and pasting what I posted in the A3 forum........
In the twisties. it was minivan, chef, audinam, and me. The minivan, seeing three A3's tailing him hard recalls the movie Mr and Mrs Smith and quickly pulls over. Chef, probalby not satisfied enough with his victory a few minutes before, takes off and audinam and I are happy to oblige. As we start hitting 60 then 70, then 80 in roads where the limit is 40mph and under, Chef begins to pull away from audinam. Audinam, realizes this searches for a better line and begins cutting into the opposite lane. As he attempts to use the line his suspension gives way to the hundreds of road reflectors spaced 1cm apart forcing him to lose speed and utlimately loose sight of Chef.
While Chef was gone. It was APR vs APR but DSG vs Manual. Now I hate tooting my own horn but I think the DSG bested the manual as I was able to easliy tail Audinam to the next stop light taking the lines that he took.
