Default Any tips before I install my test pipe?

I got some PB blast, and I have most of the tools known to man. Any tips from peple that have done it? Also it's funny, I ordered the pipe from ecode, they got it to me before they were able to get me a tracking number for it.

Me? I never ordered a test pipe. I was VERY close to doing so, but then I had to dump a bunch of money into front brakes, tranny fluid/filter etc/and coil packs. Im thinking about getting one soon though. I'll probably never go k04 so that will probably be my last engine performance mod.

You will probably end up cutting the bolts that connect the cat to the downpipe. Be prepared for that fun. Double check all the hardware.

Once you get the intake out of the way, it's pretty straight forward. Disconnect the front O2 sensor first. If you have any liquid wrench or penetrating oil, use it on the turbo to cat nuts. Turbo nuts next. The top 2 are relatively simple to get to. The bottom one is easiest to get at from underneath with some long extensions, a universal joint, and someone to hold the socket in place. After that, the back O2 sensor needs to come out. Easiest way is from underneath. The hardest part is the cat to downpipe bolts and nuts since they'll be in poor shape. If you're planning on getting an exhaust system, install it at the same time. It will save you a lot of trouble.

Pic from when I installed my high flow cat (soon to be drilled out) and AWE/Borla exhaust last January. Yes, the thermometer is at 10° and yes, it hurts like hell when you bash you knuckles on the motor when it's that cold.
