anybody know the difference ?

i'm having a friend clean my throttle body and ICV valve this weekend and i found directions for the 12valves but i have a 30v 2.8l . are those pretty much the same. he just needs it as a refrense to look over. if not does anyone have any directions for the 2.8l 30v ? thanks alot

also ... would a bad fuel filter cause a rough or unsteady idle ? ...
