Default Anyone have any experience with the leather/leatherette repair kits?

I have a small tear about 1" long starting in my drivers seat that doesnt go all the way through. Also a scratch about 6" long in the back seat. I just want to fix this before it gets any worse. Im not even too concerned about getting the color to match perfectly. I found the "As Seen On TV" kit for $11.75 and others up to $150.00.
Does anyone have any experience with a repair kit? Any favorites or ones I should stay away from?

I don't know if I would trust those. I tried to use one a few years ago, but they turn out crappy. It's hard to match the color, then it dries differently. I would take it to a detail shop who specializes in such things. Then you have a guarentee that the work is good.

Well like I said I dont mind if the color doesnt match perfect. Other than that is the repair good and strong? I think I will check out a shop to see what the prices are like.

Well i've always heard that stuff cracks and crumbles off. It's been awhile though, maybe they aren't that bad.
