For a 1.8T (ATW or AWM) ??
Just wondering what brand/part # you got. I just ordered a Bosch O2 Oxygen Sensor Universal 4 wire - 15733 for $63 shipped. A lot cheaper than what a lot of other places charge for the pre cat 02. It should do the job, I hope. That part # was recomended by some people on audi world, so it must be good [&:]

 

i tired to use a bosch universal when i did my test pipe and i ended up returning it because the pre cat had 5 wires and the bosch had 4 wires

 

Man, you just freaked me out. I just ran out ouside to check. My precat 02 is a 4 wire
Ive been getting fault codes for the precat 02 sensor for a few months every now and then, and Ive got 91k on the clock, so I figured its probably about time.
I guess 01's have a wide band sensor which is why is has 5 wires.

 

Finally got it and replaced it today. The engine seems more responsive and is noticeably smoother. If youve got 90K+ its about time. I logged it with vag com and the rich/lean correction is way more precise. The old sensor wasnt out of spec, but it was getting lazy.

 

would you say that applies (the 90K+ thing) to AEB's as well? I'm over 100K, and I have no idea if my o2 sensors have been replaced. time to dig up the service records I guess.[]
