i was at AWE yesterday and I asked if the Borla's were still on back-order..
the guy smiles points over his shoulder at about 20-25 boxes in the corner and says,
"well, WE have PLENTY of them.. I think we got just about every one in the country right now"

I didn't have them put mine on right then, but it's definitly gonna happen within the next month

so I'll share the info with all of you guys b/c I know alot of people have been having trouble finding anyone with them in stock
(just make sure there's one left for me.. lol)

 

I went to KTR performance (who get parts from AWE), ordered a borla exhaust. But back order for 2 wweks. So I got the APR instead.

 

I orderd one for a b6, and I am on a 2 week backorder

techtonics tuning is another option ... they have a kit (for B5s at least) that uses Borla mufflers. i bought it and i'm diggin' it.

 

insuite- How do you like the Techtonics Exhaust?? I have the same one but I have yet to install it as im away at college with out my car... Was it worth the money and how does it sound??

 

i like it alot. techtonics provides the downpipe and connecting pipes, all 2.5" 304SS, mandrel bent. Borla provides the mufflers (mid and aft). the kit then bolts together fairly easily. the fit was good with the exception that the tailpipe was a bit long so i had to cut it (no biggie). all in all ... i'm satisfied and it sounds awesome ... not too loud unless you want it to be. borla's web site has sound clips. and actually, it sounds deeper, throatier than the 4 cyl. demo sound clip they have.
