I just bought a 09 2.8 30v. its pretty quick already but I still want a lil bit more HP. so i was thinking what chip is the best for the 2.8/30v model. I know theres Giac and APR, but i want the most HP gains. Just let me know wuts up guys.

 

Id give anything for an 09 model. Please search for 2.8 mods and prepare to be disappointed..

 

wow a 2009 thats amazing lol...but seriously i didn't even know apr made a 2.8 30v chip. as far as i know only giac, neuspeed, and wetterauer make chips for the 2.8. your not gona see that many gains on anyone of the chips cuz its a NA engine. i'd say out of your options giac is the best

 

i dont know....a chip for a 2.8 wont do that much....i think its not worth it.....others think different....i would go with a borla exhaust system, i think a 15-20hp increase.....the chip only gives 6-9 hp and 6-9 ft-lbs gain........down the road if you are gonna want to make ur 30V fast, you will need to save up 4 a supercharger..........

my bad everybody, lol not 09, i meant 98. but yeah so everybody thinks I shouldnt go with a chip? and get an exhaust? that will really give me more HP? somebody said the Borla will give 15-20 HP increase.

 

No chance of that kind of gain. If you want any kind of significant gain, get the PES supercharger for $5k.

 

Borla will not get you a 15-20 HP increase. A chip will probably get you 10-12 HP, intake another 3-5HP, exhaust probly another 5-10 HP. So really with all that money spent your not getting much for your money. save up for the supercharger if u really want to see gains. or get a 1.8T and slap on a chip and intake and ur already ahead of what the v6 can do sans supercharger. Somebody actually made a twin turbo for the 2.8 30v v6 on his wife's car but its a one off setup.

 

Umm yeah, I already know that getting a supercharger will be a big difference, OBVIOUSLY it costs $5K for a ******* reason, not even worth it on an AUdi, that will produce so many more problems on the car anyway. Audi is not reliable to spend 5 G'z. That being said, I dont want a 100HP gain bros, I just want a 30 HP increase, i got 190 on and im pulling strong, if i can get to 230, id cream in my pants.
