apr and Giac
thats a common misconception. a car is only as reliable as the owner is. if you know your stuff and take proper care of the car than running a supercharger ain't gona be a problem. ur gona have to spend quite a bit of money to get 30-40 horses out of the v6 especially if u have a shop do all the installs. with chip intake and exhaust your only getting 20 hp max and its gona cost bout a 1500 with install. i dont really know of any other way to get more out of the 2.8 cept maybe headers and engine internals. o and pulleys but thats gona cost a lot and not really gona give u anythin. the money u'd spend on getting 30-40 horses aint that much cheaper than a supercharger, but o well, its your car.

$1500 is better than $5k, and having a 30 HP increase is good enough. I like havin a V6, and no its not as reliable as the owner. A4'z have problems all the time. Its like saying if you take care of your toyota it will last forever, that is true, but on the other hand it does not matter how much you take care of your Audi, problems occur anyway. and im damn sure all these guys can agree to that, because as soon as you fix one thing, there is another problem right away. SUperCharger on an Audi is not worth it, unless your rich and can manage all the maintenance problems that come along with it. I'll spend my 1500 bucks and get my ride 230 horses.
holy **** dude calm down. u asked for my opinion and i gave it to you. its your damn car do what you want with it. and the 1500 only gets you 20 hp if your lucky. its more likely to get 16-18. So that means the car is only gona have 206-210 max. I just dont think that increse justifies that huge amount of money. but to each his own
I hear that Tap1 has a chip for the 30v that they claim adds 15 hp...not sure how, but that's what they say...I got the 30v...and I'm gonna probably buy a Remus muffler for it somewhere down the line...and have my friends dad fab me the rest of the exhaust...You should be the first one to try out the Tap1 chip and then tell us about it...just a heads up...it's $500
A chip for the 2.8 that increases 15 HP? sounds like a deal, but TAP-1? From what I know since ive had my car and thats only 3 days lol, is that APR and GIAC are the best choices, but they also claim big increase in HP. anybody have any input?
The "big" hp increased from APR and GIAC you are looking at are for the 1.8t engines. I was unable to find the APR chip if there is even one for yours but here is the GIAC:
http://www.giacusa.com/programs.php?mpid=61
6-9 hp and 6-9 ft-lbs gain
Not worth it if you ask me. TAP is the best choice but still not much
