Well if I had a B6 Id probably have APR 1+, but GIAC is the way to go with the B5.

Ok, now its time to start searching...
Crap...
GIAC is more aggressive and releases its aggression down low
APR spreads the power out more over the rpm's and is more smooth and stock feeling

Its really personal preference... I have driven a B5 with APR and I prefer my GIAC. GIAC is for a more spirited feeling and the boost comes on stong and all at once.
You really have to exersize the RPM's with APR to get full potential from the chip imo which is not convenient for city driving which is why i prefer GIAC.

I had a neuspeed chip before, and besides the fact that it sucked, it seems like my Giac files are alot less smooth, but then again im still trying to figure out why the ko4 now sounds like stock, and nothing like the monster it was 2 days after install.

K04 shouldnt sound much different than stock. It should whistle louder but its not going to be like a BT spool up/whistle. Dont know why there is a difference since you installed it?

I have no idea, but the night and the day after the spool was a good loud whistle and was very very good, now its just kinda normal, and no i havent got used to it, i know the difference there. I was thinking maybe it was the cool air, but temperatures are about the same now as they were that night. Im going to do some tinkering, i need a good heat shield to stop such heat soaking, and i think thatll do some good, but hey, i also need to get a clutch and have it installed, and figure out my camber/ alignment problem.
