ur a 2001 they reflashed ur ECU they didnt put a phsyical chip
go to a random tuner and see if they are nice enough to check for u
u never know someone might be nice enough

in this day and age u cant just through parts on a car and think it will work

damn that sucks panda are you sure that the tip cant handle it? well either way im gunna call the local giac dealer and ask him later on today, does any one have an idea how much it would cost?

it might handle it but i still dont trust it, a tip tranny is expensive
most likely it will cost u about 700-800 dependin on thew injectors u use
but it will cost u alot more if ur running the TT225 386cc injectors

Panda you have been on the boards long enough to know that tip tranny's can handle 1+. There is so much misinformation on the boards now a days its so sad. 275ftlbs isn't enough to "destroy" your tranny. My b5 was k04 with all the goodies for 45,000 miles. NO tranny problems. If you want to go k04, or bigger on a trip i reccomend hitting up level ten. The will get you hooked up with a nice torque converter so you can sleep at night.

but not all trannys really are the same, some are faulty and some arent
i hear people saying their tips are slippin and some say they're driving strong
im a paranoid person and i dont really want to put that much stress on my tranny
im sure it might handle it but i dont want to take the chance

but remember ur tranny is fine for now but in time u never know
