Default RE: APR Software question

havent upgraded software yet due to the fact that work has slowed down. but all in all ive decided to go with REVO. my personal reason is because the two closest turners ( 3 min away and 30 min away) provide REVO. APR and GIAC are both bout 50 min away. but the main reason i chose REVO is because it seems to offer the most flexibility for down the road mods...(k-04 turbo. big injectors etc..) drove a B6 like mine that had the full REVO install, not just the trial software i had, and i was impressed. also drove in a car with APR was smooth REVO seemed just a little bit more aggressive. if all three tuners are close to you then in my opinion i would go GIAC or REVO. GIAC because its been in the game for a long time, and REVO for they're flexibility. if u plan on doing mods besides injectors go REVO and GIAC (k04 UPGRADE) if you;re gonna do just injectors and APR is close i would go APR. i can ramble on and on. tell me exactly what ur looking to get out of your chip purpose and ill tell you who id go with

GIAC "looks" less agressive based on the numbers, but they tend to give real average estimates vs the highest numbers ever seen.

I'm running ARP now, it's def a nice upgrade. I'm switching to GIAC FX in a couple of weeks, once AWE get their shipment of injectors.

I'm switching because GIAC gives you more upgrade options over APR. If you ever intend on going for any type of bigger turbo then go Revo or GIAC, APR have their stage III+ but it's crazy expensive compared to the other options available now.

i just want the basic chip. without having to mod my engine to further breathe, assist or stop any future problems. i use the car for work with clients so i really dont need to be giving her the gears with my clients or boss in the car.

with the basic chip either APR or GIAC do i still need the injector? i got one quote in CAD dollars of $750 for GIAC from PFAFF Audi, this comparable to market?

i also think i am going to go with the H&R sport spring and Bilstein SHock setup. found one guy $702 out of PA offering this package.

a flash is just using a computer to put the program on the stock chip, with the newer cars it works, but the older ones you had to solder a chip into the ecu so it can have the new programs on it

The programs are the same, be it chip or flash, the installation charges some times change as the solfering takes longer (some times)

As far as the suspension goes, is this "guy" a reputable dealer or is it a 2nd hand thing? AWE Tuning sells the same kit for 709.
