I don't think APR is worth the $1k...

I'd go with Borla or Milltek

From what I understand Milltek is just as expensive, doesn't come with a downpipe, is not as good of build quality, gives less performance gains, and sounds nearly like stock.I want to be able to hear my exhaust but can't have drone. Everyone said Milltek was the quieter of the two and that APR would offer better gainsso I've been leaning toward the APR. As far as Borla goes I've yet to find a site offering Borla for an 05 1.8 6speed.

dan has APR exhaust on his USP A4. He isn't on here much anymore...try him on DVAG (www.dvagonline.com) his DVAG screen name is USPDan. His exhaust sounds great.

Build quality for Milltek is excellent, performance gains are almost identical, andMilltek is quieter than APR but doesn't sound stock. Either is an excellent choice.
