Default Ash Tray Problems

I am not sure what is going on with my ash tray. I keep my change in the ask tray and all the sudden it got stuck. I cannot push it in, so then obviously it will not come back out. I have to push on it about fifty times before it comes out, and then after that, I push it in it does not come back out. Any ideas as to what I can do to eliminate this problem? Do I need to buy a new ash tray? Any ideas to make this pain in the a** problem go away? BTY, B5 01 2.8 Q

yea youre gonna need a new ash tray. mine did this, so i took it apart and one of the plastic gear things were broken.
i put change in mine and i think this is what caused it to break. i guess it cant handle weight, lame huh, i know.

If you keep change in there a quarter or something probably got stuck. Stick a credit card under there or something and try to feel for any loose change or something restricting it. Mine got stuck by a little bronze clip that holds the silver tray in place. If you can get it to pop out remove that tray and take out that stupid little clip, I don't even know what it does because when I took it out it still works the same way.
