i've done tons of searching and cant find a wiring diagram for the gauge cluster. i have a 2000 1.8t and i need to find out which wire is for the airbag light. i'm not trying to spend over $1000 to fix the airbag system problem and i'm just getting tired of looking at the light so i want to cut the wire to the bulb. i was going to simply take out the bulb so i took out the gauge cluster and took it all apart only to find out that its not a normal bulb that i can unscrw from the back. its some kind of micro LED bulb or something thats much smaller than the size of abbfor a childs airgun and its soldered in place. so i fgured it would be much easier to just cut the wire and i can splice it back together later on if i ever decided to fix the problem. and yes i know that my airbags dont work right now, i dont car. i hate this damn light.oh i also forgot to mention...for some reason ever since i took out the gauge cluster, my oil temp gauge not doesnt work right.with the key out and no power going to the gauges, all the gauges zero out like they are supposed to, but when i turn the key on, the oil temp gauge automatically goes right to 200 degrees like the engine is at full operating temperature, even after the car has sat over night. the gauge never climbs any higher than that either, it just stays at 200 all the time, but then zeros out like normal after i take out the key. any idea why it would be doing this??

 

nobody with a 2000 1.8t has a manual and can look this up for me?? i mean, obviously its not a huge problem thats life depending on it or anything, but still would be nice to get rid of this stupid light. any help would be great
