In my opinion the Audi is a much nicer car, but The 350Z is a faster car, and it will take insane amounts of suspension work to make the audi handle half as well at the limit as the 350Z does stock. You probably wont even notice this in normal driving, so it all depends on what you want from the car. Like a couple of other people have said, your talking about two completely different animals.

Z is not attractive? And you are smoking what?

the z:

The a4....

I love the a4, but in my opinion, the z is a sport car, the a4 a sporty sedan.
Z looks hot, and with mods even better.
you cant compare the look of a modded car vs a stock car! The Z in that pic has a good bit of exterior mods going on. not that the stock ones look horrible just that ones not stock

Your right it is nothing like the base model, but those are all Nissan/NISMO parts. That was a NISMO 350Z show car, and as far as i can tell its not far from the 2007 NISMO 350Z.

That Z is a stock option. It's called the Nismo package

I have owned a couple of nissans myself and I would have to say from my experience nissans have been a more reliable car. Audi has a lot of little luxery items on it that I happen to love but some people might not like that. And to be perfectly honest if I didn't have a kid on the way and I was in his position to buy a new car. I would totally take the Z over an A4, but only if I could get the grand touring model.

Not true. Throw some PSS9's or some Track Sports on an A4 and I'd bet you'll take a Z on a skid pad and auto-x. That isn't "insane amounts" in my book.

As for OP question on reliability..... I'll have to get back to you in a year, as I haven't completed a year with my big turbo yet. So far, so good. Drives like stock when needing to go slow, and roars when I need to go fast. And I push it constantly (it's hard not to). The thing pulls to redline and I'm always up in high RPM to keep turbo spooled.
From what I've read, the 1.8t is handling up to around the 350chp mark with stock internals. Breaking in to the 400 mark is where you'll need to mess with that stuff.
I don't know. There are many big turbo guys at the other Audi forums with thousands and thousands of miles on daily-driven beasts with no problems. But yet the stigma remains that they are "unreliable".
We'll see. Like any modded car, including the Z, if you're gonna double the hp/tq, and you push that to its limits, you're gonna have to pay to play somewhere down the line.

Lol, Im sorry I was in a hurry, so I probably did not do the audi justice!
The z was supposed to be one of the 07 models available.

I dont care for the vert 350's. In fact, I prefer the 90-96 300 zx body to the 350 anyday. but I do like the car and the slicktop model.

Both great cars, 2 different vehicles with different purposes.

Ummm... a few points.
1) Shocks are legal in stock class autox, so classing reflects expected performance with shock upgrades.
2) The 350Z is in B Stock (3rd fastest stock class PAX 0.828)
3) All A4s are in G stock (2nd slowest stock class PAX 0.803)
4) The 2.7L S4 is in D stock (3rd slowest stock class PAX 0.804)
5) Even the mighty V8 S4 is way back in F stock (4th slowest stock class PAX 0.809)

A4s are very nose heavy FWD or AWD cars. They will never hang with RWD sports cars based on handling. The original 1.6L Miata (I believe the car in the video is a 1.8L first gen Miata) is faster than these cars on an autocross course (E stock, pax of 0.812). As i said before you may not even realize that there is any handling difference at all in normal street driving, but at the limmit there is no contest. You should get out to an autocross sometime fahquad, you will see what I'm talking about. Dont get me wrong, the A4 is a great car, and i would choose it over a 350Z, but A4s are pigs when you push them.
