I have a 2003 A4 that woun't start. It cranks and runs for a second then dies.at first this issue was intermittent. Replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils but the problem was still intermittent.
Today it died on me and woun't start at all. Still cranks but woun't start. Engine light on but haven't had the chance to run diagnostics. Please help.

 

Sounds like my car when my fuel pump died. Look into that, and if it's the case, be sure to change the filter as well. A clogged filter can kill your pump and you wouldn't want to kill a new one too.

Scan for codes first though before you start buying parts.
