Question Audi A4 2004 1.8t

Hello all!
I have had my Audi about 3 years now. Last fall my brake (need to be replaced light) Came on Looks something like (o) on the dash. Then a couple weeks later All of a sudden my Speedometer stoped working. ABS lights came on with Engine light and also a triangel with a ! in the middle. Also my Cruse control does not work when the Speedo isnt working. It occasionaly works when I leave work but by the time I get into town it is gone again and all the lights come on. When it first started happening I was 6 hours from home. I was able to pull on the side of the road turn off the car and turn it back on and it would work for a few miles then be gone again. Now its been around 6 months with it not working most of the time. I checked the cables that hook to the tire and even tried to hook them together with another wire. Still hit and miss with Having my speedo ect. The only Audi dealer around here is 7 hours away. I cant seem to figure out the problem myself. And I really dont want it to be the control modual. Im thinking it may be the wires conecting to the Control modual? If anyone knows anything about this please let me know! It would be greatly appriciated! Thanks in advance!

The speedo, abs and traction control all work off of the tire speed sensors located at each wheel. If memory serves correct the speedo works off the drivers side front only.

Located on the tip of your axels there is a ring of magnets that spins within the wheel hub assembly. There is a sensor the is attached to the outside of the hub assembly that senses this spinning ring.

There is 1 at each wheel which gives the computer the information it needs to translate into pulsing the breaks for your abs and traction control as well as your AWD system.

It might be as simple as cleaning the sensor connectors or replacing the sensor.. Or if the magnetic ring is compromised you will have to get a new axel assembly.

Thank you so much for your imput! It is greatly appriciated! I have cleaned the conectors I am thinking that I will need to get new sensor connectors. Do you know of a place online I can purchase those and how difficult it would be to do myself? Thanks again!
