Unhappy Audi A4, 2009, 2.0 4 cylinder Gasoline, Buring Oil

I have a 2009, Audi A4, Gasoline engine, with 110,000 miles, just started to burn 1 qt of oil every 500 miles.

What I tried so far:
1. Protec Engine flush, $30.00/Oil change 0W40 Mobile 1 Fully Synthetic
2. Ordered a new PCV valve

What I have heard:
1. Could be the Rear Oil Seal (big money job)
2. Piston and Rings (Bigger money job)

Conclusion:
Keep a Qt of oil in the back seat and hope for a low cost solution.

1 qt every500 miles is a lot of oil usage. Do you see oil on the ground where you park? I have a 2008 and add about a qt every 2500 to 3000 miles. Of your two options I am not aware of a "cheap" fix.
