Ok so some of you might have seen my thread about the misfire. Well i went and had my codes scanned and it came up with code P0118 which is a coolent temp sensor failure. I did NOT get any misfire codes. Weird. Anyways would that sensor cause my car to not start easly when the engine is hot? If it has been running at temp and then I turn it off it is pretty hard to start sometimes. What are your thoughts on this? Car specs are in sig.

The coolant temp sensor can make it hard to start the car whether its hot or cold, replace it.

Could that cause any type of misfire thing? I am 100% sure I had a misfire yesterday but it didn't show up when they scanned my car.

Yep, even more so if you have a black coolant temp sensor, if you get a new one they should give you a green one.

 

Bad ects can cause whack A/F ratios. Too rich and you will misfire. Too rich, or lean, makes for a hard startup.

 

Hmm... I think I will order one of those on Monday! So i want the green one?

Just get it from the dealer. Its one of the fewthings you wont find for much le$$ anywhere else.

 

Yeah they only used to be $4, but the company that manufactures the terds increased the price to around $40, thats not very nice of them if you ask me.
