Default audi extended warrantee

Hey guys,

My g.f. has a 03 3.0 and the warrantee will be up in 10k miles. She hasn't had any major problems but a lot of little stuff. Does anyone know if Audi offers an extended warrantee? If so how much is it and what does it cover?

Thanks for the replies.

P.S the check engine light was due to a leaking solenoid on the engine. Not a leaking gas cap.

As far as I know, you can have it taken to an Audi dealership, and they can do the 300+ point inspection, and give you a 2 year, bumper to bumper, "Audi USA" warrenty. It will cover everything, just like the origional factory warrenty, up to 2 years, or 100,000 miles, which ever comes first. The effective start date on the warrenty will start the day your factory warrenty runs out.

i.e. 4 years or 50,000 miles...

It will most likely cost you around $2,000, but it's well worth it. I bought my car with the extended warrenty, but you can get one through any Audi Dealership.

Good Luck!

Wow 2k!
It seems hard to imagine that a car with under 100k would need more than 1k a year in service.

I just found this on the audiusa page.

Does Audi offer an extended warranty?
Currently, Audi does not offer an extended warranty program. Warranty extensions are administered on an individual dealer basis. Your local Audi dealer can most effectively assist you in answering all of your questions.

Looks like I'd have to talk to the dealer to find out more.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Every time you bring the car into the dealership, they charge you a $50 deductible. This is because people were bringing in the car for "every little thing" to have it fixed. If you can, just wait till you have a couple of "little" problems, and they will fix them all for you, for the same $50. If the car comes back to the dealership for the same problem more than once, then you don't have to pay the $50 over again.

Actually I have owned one. I also have an 89-80Q that I've owned for 8 years. I have put a lot of money into that car and that one is much "simpler" than this one. However the coverage is only for 2 years. If it was for 5 or 100k it would see more worth it to me. I do know they break, and I do know that they require special attention. Thats why mine is still on the road. The only difference is that car is 16 years old and this one is less than 5 with a 1/3 of the miles!

ok, there are many different details with the audi warranties...and YES, it is absolutely worth it.

I spent 3k on mine, for 3 years 36,000 miles.

As far as the deductibles go...they can be lowered depending on how much you pay for your warranty. For instance, with my warrantee, i could have paid more up front to bring the deductible down to 50 dollars each visit, but i didn't so my deductible is 100 dollars. (Also a note, you need to pay tax on these deductibles, so it will either be 108 dollars for a 100 dollar deductible or around 54 for a 50 dollar deductible.) If you purhcased the car new from a dealership, and you purchase the warranty from this same dealer, the deductibles are WAIVED altogether.

My car just got out of warranty about a month ago. A week later...my fuel pump went bad. It would have costs about 700 dollars to fix...my warranty allowed me to have it fixed for 108 dollars.

Trust me, you don't think 2-3k will be worth it...with an audi, if 3 things go wrong, you get your money's worth. If any part of the engine or suspension needs to be fixed, you're talking 2-4k...it's worth it.

I have soaked $7500 out of my warranty so far. I paid 1800? ish, for 4 years, or 100,000 miles.
I got an 800 # 1.800.477.0651
They have been great, no questions or problems so far.

Kelley,

Who is that warntee policy through? Can you bring it to the dealer for the service?

Thanks
