Hi Kelly, where do you get your AUDI repaired? is it from AUDI Dealer or other repair center? I asked my repair center said they dont do this because it's hard for them to get paid from the warranty company.

The waranty is through Mechanical Breakdown Protection. You can bring the car to anywhere that you want. I bring mine to the Audi dealer because they usually have most parts in stock anyway. You can pick which kind of policy that you want. The one that i have has no deductable, but you can pick a 50 or 100 dollar dedutable as well. The policy will now only cover up to 100 dollars an hour for labor, the going rate at the Audi dealer by me is 117 an hour, so i pay the 17 an hour for crap. Big deal, for most the stuff that i have had done lately is only a 1-3 hour job anyway, except the water pump last time, but we worked it out so i got the timing belt, serpentine belt, waterpump, brake fluid flush and other crap for about 400 bucks. if you find and independant person to work on it, it won't cost you a thing.

 

I just called them, and they give me: $1852 for one year coverage only, coz my car is already 90K. i guess it's too high for me.
ALSO, how's is the claim procedure works? audi will call MBP to get repair authorize code? then they will start to repair? I called my dealer, and they said they wont do this, this will waste their time.

this is kinda old, but I found it useful. I was worried about buying a 1997 a4 with the 1.8t quarttro system even though it only has 43k on it I have hear alot of things about this motor. Although Im VERY good with cars (maintenance and treatment) I was worried this wouldnt be enough. This very well may get me into an audi. Any information that you guys have like phone numbers or regional information let me know cause Id like to get this done. Thanks
