trust me the hour is well worth the 1.8 the 2.8 is slow and expensive to do anything to performance wise and you will be made fun of by every 1.8t owner and then every 2.8 owner that told you to get a 1.8 cuz they know they fucked up

not exactly what I would have said, but it got the point across.

Yeah buying the wrong car to save a couple hours... not good. Took me nearly a year to find the car I wanted, and I was willing to drive a couple hours if need be. But yeah, the 2.8 is a really nice car, very very smooth and quiet with adequate power... but the 1.8T is going to be a lot more fun.

I'd say the 1.8t, but the downside is that its FWD.

Hold out for a quattro model, that is the way to go.

CL, i drove to vegas this past weekend for memorial day and i was flooring it...i was doing 100-110 mph for most of the trip

at one point i got lazy and had the cruise control at 100 for about 10-15 miles...damn, i never saw the gas mileage go down so suddenly
i had like 350 miles left of gas....once i finished 10 min of driving in cruise i was down to like 260-265
WTF???? if thats the case im taking a scredriver and ripping the cruise button off so i never use it again...
