im new to the forum and am looking to become a audi enthusiast. my question is how well do these cars hold up in hi mileage because the audi years iv seen a few for 4-5k and they all have about 130-170k miles on them is it worth it?

 

all i really want to know if its a good buy or not for this particular automobile with 130k miles on the motor manual trans looks well kept but does anyone have this many miles or now wat the motor can take?

 

depends on service history, my first car had 143k on it and this one is about to hit 160k. last had all maintence and records so it ran great, current car bought for cheap with service records and sure enough stuff that i didnt have records for failed. all fixed though, run nice.

 

bought my 99.5 with 103k, no service records runs good, but i am going to have the timming belt and tesioner replaced just incase

 

My 98 2.8 Quattro stick has 170k on it. I've had to do a few things, timing belt, fix some oil leaks, control arms etc. But the car is tight and fun.

 

i have 91K on mine and just did the timing belt job, otherwise just little annoying things like the speakers etc.

 

how much is your repairs usually

 

I spend around $1500 per year on repairs. I have 135K mi.
and drive 19K mi. a year.
