What does it KBB at? I think you can talk him down. I got my 2002 a4 1.8 for $4800 (after talking him down) and it has basically no issues, just small ones. I'd go look at it and see if it holds up to the ad. Make sure it shifts smooth and no leaks.

I paid $13k for my daughter's 2003 A4 3.0 MT6 (69k miles) five years ago, so your price seems a little high but not unreasonable given a vehicle in very good condition. I agree with checking KBB. I would still check out every function, feature, and accessory and have it inspected. You do not mention the tranny -- the MT6 is rock solid and less costly to repair than the tip. The 3.0 model also has a lot of upgrades over the 1.8T which drives up the price.
