i have an audi a4 1996 B5 2.8L what i want to kno is if my car has the audi bose system or not. The deck thats in there is an AM/FM cassete that says Audi Delta on it. I checked the speakers in the trunk to see if they said bose on them but i couldnt see it anywhere. i just bought an entire setup of speakers and a new deck to replace a car that has the bose system cause i thought mine did plz help how can i find out? i dont feel like tearing out the door panels and **** if i dont have the right speakers!

 

i'm not sure for that old, but usually if you have bose it says bose on the cover to the speaker

 

If you don't see BOSE on anything, it's not BOSE.

 

you have a bose system when you start up your radio it will say BOSE on the small screen.

 

ok i figured out it wasnt cause i only have 2 front speakers and 2 in the trunk and if i had the bose i'd have 2 more in the passenger seats thanx guys!

 

I'm also trying to figure out exactly what my 2004 Audi A4 Avant 1.8T has for a stereo system. I need a harness to connect to a new headunit and there appear to be two possibilites. One says it is for "Audi April 2002 onwards with BOSE rear amplified system" and the other lists "Audi 2002 onwards with BOSE fully amplified system". The original window sticker just lists "Audi Symphony radio w/ in-dash 6-disc CD-changer". There is an amplifier in the rear right panel behind the rear seats (just above a subwoofer) that has multiple leads (so I suspect it is more than a subwoofer amp). The head unit simply says Audi Symphony and I don't see Bose anywhere on the car. Does BOSE build the "rear amplified" system as an OEM product without being advertised as BOSE?

This car does have multiple speakers (2 in each front door panel, 2 in each rear door panel, subwoofer in rear).

I just wanted to add something for everyone without bose in a 97 a4. I replaced my stock speakers with some polk components. and notice that my same cell phone company (nokia) also makes my speakers in my Audi. I just had to laugh.
