I went to the UK launch of the 3 series at Rockingham race track. I thought that the 3 series was nothing to look at
unless you spec up the wheels to 18" minimum. They drove well but nothing special,I couldnt say i could really tell it was rear wheel drive but we were not allowed to disengage traction control in case we hurt ourselves. With traction on no one could get the back end out even in 330 models so i suppose it does its job but i didnt think WOW.Had more fun in 1.8t on way there.
Interior was pretty ordinary, with the most annoying f**king indicators i have come across

We also drove the X5 on a offroad track, now that was f**king fun,we had road tyres on only and it was deep mud everywhere, but it was very impressive. We also went up and down 30-40 muddy banks no probs, only one i was taken with.

Well thats my 2 pence worth.[sm=gears.gif]

It should read 30-40 foot muddy banks.

i personally drive(not mine but use it when my brother goes to college) a E36 97' 328i 4dr, and its got eibach springs(sportline) got some angels eyes put in with HIDs and a Stromoung exhaust. I mean this this flyyyyys...performance wise i havent driven anything like this and i have driven my friends SL500 and i still would take my car over it any day, but not to put down Audis or anything cause i hope to buy one this weekend so yeah just my opinion on it cause i love both them both.

If 200hp "flllyyys" to you then you should ride in some different cars man. That car is 190 horsepower and maybe barley clearing 200 with the exhauast

I drive both - an 89 525i and a 98 A4 2.8L 30V. Both are manual transaxle. My thoughts? My A4 is straight up kick *** especially since it is fitted with a large motor given the overall dimensions and weight of the vehicle, no need to go overboard with engine modifications. It is fun to drive, handles awesome, I can go on and on.

As for my 525i, I purchased the vehicle for $1500, it works, needs work, but the E34 has always been one of my favorite cars, and for the price, I jumped on it. It too is a fun car to drive, very fast, and Im a fan of the baby 6 M20. But I will say it is a helluva lot easier to work on compared to the A4. The parts for it are cheap but this is only b/c the parts are on taking up space on the warehouse shelves and the suppliers want to dump them.

I've driven newer BMWs and Audis. Personally, all 5-series made after the E34 line look soft and have lost that aggressive look, they sure as hell dont sound the same either. The 7 series was a beauty up until they moved on from the E38 and it went to **** with ugly looking 745 and the latest body design as well. The only recent BMW I like is the new M3, as they maintained an aggressive look with the lines and flared wheel arches also the wheels. Overall, IMO BMW is catering to a luxury market.

Audi has always impressed me, even with the new body styles and introduction of new motor options. Simply put, Audi has not let me down as BMW did. The Audi interior cannot be touched, not even Mercedes is close to the quality. The interior of my A4 is what sold me on the car to begin with.

At the end of the day, I would like to have at least one of each in my stable, as long as the BMW is an E34 5 series or an M3 (any M3).

I love the look of the 2002 540 with the halo headlights, but here in Ohio, how the he** am I suppossed to get around in the snow with rear wheel drive? I love my Audi. I love all-wheel drive. The interiors are perfect. Little more power, and we would have the "Ultimate Driving Machine".

I like audi's and bmw's, I dont like both communities though. For the most part, many of the bmw owners I have met are very very cocky. Luckily that also makes for a good time once we get on the highway

And some pics just cause im bored
