maunal casue automatics cant take that much

 

The 98 is a 98.5 Blue 2.8 Quattro with auto and the 99 is blue 2.8 Quattro with a manual, wow the is the side mirrors that much different? Well since its the 2.8 there really are not many mods to do b/c I dont what to spend 3k for a supercharger so the trans really does not matter that much cuz its the 2.8 right?

 

Well first of all if you dont already know, the 2.8 is MUCH less upgradeable then the 1.8, unless your getting a turbo charger i dont think u have to worry about which tranny is capable of holding more power. If you get an Automatic, you can get a Tip chip which makes the shifting in Titronic comprable if not better then manuel. However manuel you have much more controll over your car, you can also launch it whereas in a Automatic you can not. Its alot of prefferrence(sp?) but they are both great.

 

the 98.5 and the 99 are pretty much the same car besides the pass. side mirror being full-size on the 99...the interiors are also identical i believe

 

If you want to mod for mad power go with the Auto
you dont lose much power through the shifts

 

Manual trans. no question asked

 

If not making to much mods to it, take the Auto., if not take the Manual!

 

Take manual no doubt.

 

Even if you aren't modding, take the manual! It will keep you paying attention to what is going on and you have more control. Besides, it's way more fun ripping through gears than sitting there in 'D' all day.

 

Cam....IDK about you but shifting is like 2nd nature to me...i dont even think about it, and im sure others can vouch for me. Unless im racing and i have to watch the tach, it justr kinda happens....but yea dude...nooooo question...MANUALLLLL
