Default CVT Problem - Only auto or both auto and manual?

Hello everyone, just wondering if the CVT problem only pertains to the automatic transmission or both auto and manual.

Thank you!

you would have to worry about the clutch messing up on any manual.

if the car is quattro it won't have CVT and you won't have to worry about CVT issues.

CVT = continuously variable transmission - it's a type of automatic transmission which continuously varies its gear ratio in order to provide a good balance of power and fuel economy for the current level of engine load, speed, and throttle position.

To more directly answer your question, it's impossible for a manual transmission to be a CVT, and therefore, if you buy a manual car, you won't have CVT issues to worry about.

As 02A6Beau mentioned, however, on any manual trans, the clutch is a wear item and will eventually fail. How quickly that happens depends on several factors including but not limited to the driving style of the previous owner(s) and the amount of power the engine is making. Cars driven gently at stock power levels will have the longest lasting clutches. Cars modded for more power and/or driven aggressively will have shorter clutch life.

Also, "imma" is not a legitimate word, no matter how many rappers put it in their songs.
