Automatic shift shock, Tip solved it?
So for the past few months I have had some pretty nasty shift shock when ever I tried really working my engine. You can see my mods in my sig. I didn’t know what was wrong since nothing had changed and it was progressively getting worse. During this time I was mostly commuting with my car in traffic and not really doing any driving for pleasure, I was not using the Tiptronic. This is important.
One day I decided to try the Tiptronic to see if it had the shift shock also. There was no shift shock at all which was a relief but also confused me. So I just drove 100% of the time with the Tip for a week and then tried Auto again and the shift shock is gone.
I assume this is because of the ECU learning that it does but does anyone else have an explanation?
Another idea I have is that I am not the only driver of the car and my girlfriend is significantly less aggressive on it.
What do you all think?
