Has ne1 had their automatic shift **** brake off. A valie paking guy broke mine today. i had to drill a screw in the plastic so i could get it into park. Does anyone know where i could find the parts to fix it and how dificault it is to replace.

it is a 1996 A4 2.8 automatic

How the fvck did he manage to break it??? Try a salvage yard, shouldn't be too difficult to replace.

 

i guess he must have just got in and slammed it into gear. f***en valies.

 

valet for a restaruant??? Id be asking for free food or for them to pay for the repairs. Thats stupid...

 

No WAY I would let that slide.
I would find the highest friggin' estimate I could find and have them pay the damages.
If they said no, I'd file a report or contact the corporate management for them.

May sound like overkill, but it was in perfect condition when you brought it to them.
It should have been in perfect condition when they brought it back to you. Period.

 

I am already looking into that.
