Default automatic transmission flush

hey guys, i have a 1997 a4 1.8t quttro/auto transmission. i recently replaced the t-belt/water pump/radiator/all belts, and i lost some tranny fluid when i was replacing radiator, but not much. anyway i wanted to get my tranny flushed, and dealer told me that if it hasnt been done in 30kmile intervals that doing it now may blow the tranny. is this true or just a myth???

It is "lifetime fluid". However, it wouldn't hurt to drain the pan and fill with a couple of quarts of fresh fluid. I do mine about every 60K miles. Cost is about 60 dollars inc fluid at my garage.
