Default Avant owners

Hello, I've got a A6 avant that I use forhauling my stuff. I like the looks of the A4 or S4 avant's and I would like to know what is the distance from the back of the front seats to the back hatch door? I can easly fit my mountain bike into the back of my A6 and it would be a big plus if an A4 can accommodate the same.
thanks

i've got a 2000 a4 avant. my bike fits in just fine when in, but its snug while actually putting it in. the cars just not as big top to bottom and side to side as an a6. but that, and the fact that its got a much sportier ride, is exactly why i bought it

I don't like roof racks, becaue of all the horror storiesI've seen and heard.A hitch mounted rack would be a option. Although puttinga muddy mountain bike (and dog) ina fineGermanengineered hauler, is not beyond me.
