I'm in love with my new toy. I've hit 34 mpg in it a couple of times keeping it mellow on the pedal on the highway. I'm also averaging about 24 mpg around town. I'm curious to read about other Avant owners and their cars.

 

MPG is very nice with the 1.8 as opposed to the 3.0 Glad ya enjoy the new avant.

 

I have an 04 3.0 and man does it eat up gas LOL


more than my vette did... i average 15 around town and 22 on the highway

 

my gas mileage sucks. i get gallons to the mile not miles to the gallon... but i love my avant, its nice bein somewhat of a sleeper

 

And it will be "sleeping" for about 6 months..........just bustin ***** man, so did you find out how long your license is suspended for? I think you can still drive before the suspension takes effect.

 

I used to get about 21 mpg on average (never get a chance to hit the open road) until I started buying Chevron gas. Now I get 24 mpg in my 2.8.

 

I have to admit that I miss the grunt my 3.0 A4 had, but this car moves nice once the turbo spools up. Being a Tip it isn't strong off the line, but as soon as I chip it the torque will go up and that will help on the low-end somewhat. I'm going to go with APR. I have their software on my other two cars and have been very happy with the way they run.

 

yea i found out it is 6 months, would have been 3 if i hadn't refused the breathalyzer, i have to go to 15 night classes, and my lawyer gaurantees he gets the dui charge dismissed. i have my license now for a bit until the suspension letter comes and states when it is to begin, the cops just took my license for 24hrs after the arrest because its a law or something.
