AWD / Quattro Ratio

RE: AWD / Quattro Ratio
On dry pavement driving in a straight line it's about 80/20 favoring the rear axle. As you corner or one or more of the wheels lose traction shifts that ratio to either favor the front axle or one side or the other. As for the differential ratio, I don't know but I'm looking.

RE: AWD / Quattro Ratio
ok i did some research, all that I have come across before states that the quattro system is Front whell biased.. But now that i start doing more research on it. Everyone is stating that the quattro is now a 50/50 split. My only question is what about the weight or is that factored in. because more weight in thr front would throw everything off of what you actually get. yes in theory you could get a 50 50 split by having more to the front, and its actual ratio because of the weight would be 50 50.. but im not a mechanical engineer LOL

RE: AWD / Quattro Ratio
I really really doubt its 50 50 since the non q is fwd based!!![sm=WTFsgign.gif] If a awd car was 50 50 that would be a completely new thing for auto manufactures![sm=wakeup.gif] PLEASE ONLY POST IF YOU KNOW
