AWD to RWD.. step inside..
I was wondering 2 things, about the AWD setup.. there is a couple reasons i want to inquire about this certain change out.. first off ther are no AWD dyno's around here, 2nd i wouldnt mind having rwd for summer fun. 3 i think my front differential is acting up.
Is there a certain way i could disable the front axles? I know wrx's do the center diff welding and removing clutch packs so the center diff doesnt send power to the front wheels..
i think it would be a fun project, i was going to get a couple spare tranny's to mess with.

We only have 2 differentials. The transmission houses the center diff and is linked to the front axles. The only thing I can think of is to get the center diff modified for rwd, then seal the tranny where the front axles would bolt up.
yes, no front differential. just center and rear..
but there is a safe and reliable way to convert our AWD systems to RWD. i have not gone into the project personally cause it doesn't interest me at this point. but contact Snowtrooper on Audi World. hopefully he will be nice enough to help you out.. but no guarantees
