Ok so why would my needle in my vent boost gauge
continue to shake when not under boost just idle
and when it goes into boost?? How do i fix that?

I have the filter thats supposed to stop that on
the 2000 a4's but its still being gay.

Maybe the gauge is faulty or the filter supplied. Start troubleshooting.

 

or a vac leak? if there's air being sucked in there sporadically it would probly cause the bouncing.
