wait so what happens wtih the push down reverse if you put a short shifter? because i'm about to purchase a short shifter from ebay.

 

lol i cant convince myself to buy the ebay one. here's my theory; we drive AUDIs! not some cheapo import POS, so why would i put a cheapo POS part into my car? i dunno, just my conclusion after thinking about it for a while...flame me if you must.

anndd.. i dont have the pushdown reverse thing, but i'm GUESSING if you do then when you install your new shifter it'll work like the ones that dont, being that it will not allow you to shift into reverse while going a certain speed (like on the freeway for example)... dont quote me on that one tho.

well i'm still back and forth about the whole thing... and how could it mess up? i guess by not fitting correctly and not being as "tight" as it could be with one that's made by a tried and true company. i guess the same reason of why wouldn't you buy a crappy ebay body kit for your car as opposed to a reiger (or other manufacturer) kit or something. well i guess any after market shifter will be way better than the stock one....so i'm still not 100% opposed to the idea. convince me more =)
