Audi didn't really have 'fast' in mind when they made the A4....

Get a K04 if you want to be in the 14's and a BT if you want to be faster

so every 10hp is .1 in the 1/4 mile..

[sm=laughat.gif][sm=bs.gif]

So you mean to tell me that 10hp in a semi will shave .1 in the 1/4 and 10hp in a civic hatch will only shave the same .1 in the 1/4???

I think power to weight might have something to do with it

of course power to weight ratio has something to do with it, but im not talking about semi's, im talking an average 2300-3000 pound car.

and ya a 30v 2.8 or 3.0 runs a 15.3. Im not high, lol... but trust me, if someone sent a chipped 1.8t to the track with nothing else, I would put my car on the line that it didnt break past a 15.7

the b6 3.0 looks pretty good on paper. stock 220 hp/ 221 torque... chip it and u got 235hp/ 234 torque..

i'm actually thinkin about gettin one of these. i found a sweet one, an 02 with only 20k, but the car has a "rebuilt" title... what do you guys think about this? i heard that its hard to get insurance on a car w/ a rebuilt title..

its almost impossible to get comp and collision on a rebuilt title because in reality the car isnt worth jack

yeah, i was really excited about the car until i read the fine print and immediately was turned off once i saw "rebuilt".. that would explain why the car was about 2 grand less than what its worth. just gotta keep lookin..

10hp = .1 in the 1/4 will only apply to a car maybe, but certainly not a general rule of thumb

AGAIN a 2.8 has 190hp and 207 tq

A GIAC chiped 1.8t has 200hp and 235tq PLUS it weighs 200lbs less Y would it be slower???

I am begining to think you have no idea wtf you are talking about......maybe you could help me understand?

im just going by the stock statistics, and i know a 30v runs a 15.3...thats all im saying.

The k03 turbo is too small to pull out any real power, even with a chip it looses power up top like crazy, and im pretty sure all you 1.8 guys can agree with me.

I guess im just going off of what I have witnessed in beating a 1.8t audi in my NA eclipse, and beating a chipped jetta in my 12v, lol...and i didnt really beat it, it was more like nose to nose with my nose about a foot ahead.

These experiences alone have been plenty for me to know if your going after speed, dont get an audi
