Any word on a new date? I'm waiting to find out how much boostI'm leeking!
You dont need a pod/mount to hook up a boost gauge for diagnosing. Thats like saying "Any word on the new cup holders? Because Im reeeeeaaaal thirsty!"

The test fitting has been completed on the B5 pod and the results were unsatisfactory.

My designers tell me I am too pickly as the changes I wanted were in the realm of 0.30mm on certain areas but I won't release a product that I am not happy with.

So I am having a new mold made and new samples producted and going through the whole process again. Believe me when I say that this is not a cheap exercise. I could have release the B5 pod with a couple of small tweaks in order to recover my money but I don't think you would be happy with the way it fits.

So I rather suck it up, spend some more money and come up with the perfect product you will be happy with.

I can vouch for how "picky" MC is. he test fitted the B5 pod in my car about a month ago, and it was very close to a perfect fit. a couple areas weren't quite *perfect* though, so I guess that's what he's having fixed with the new mold. having seen in person how the pod looked in my car though, I have no doubt that this is the pod I want for my boost gauge. it's gonna look sweet when it's finally done and released.

Wow, I'm not even mad that it's like 6 months after scheduled release and it's not out. I'm amazed at how picky you are, awesome!

Keep us posted on when this thing will be released, I can't wait!

No tentative date for release.

I am hoping to have them ready to market in Spring 2008 as I lost a lot of time by having to start all over again.

I just saw the new completed design for the B5 pod and it is ready for the rapid prototype stage. Trying to match all of the curves was a real challenge for my new designer.

In case you people are wondering just how picky I am here are 2 pictures of the first samples and just how much off they were. As I said before... that is just 0.30mm

Wow! IMO that's great that you're putting the release off for a .3mm change, it proves that you really do want an oem fit.

If you need another B5 to test it on, shoot me a pm.

Sorry for not updating this thread.

I have approved the new B5 rapid prototype 2 weeks ago and the new steel mold is being made. It should be a couple of more weeks before I get the production samples for test fitting from the plastic plant.

In the meantime here is the picture of the new gauge I have just completed just for the B5 chassis. For the A4 owners the needle can be changed to red.

And this is how it starts up! Yes... this gauge is 100% electronic.
