Here is just an update to the progress of the column pod being made for the B5 platform

I've approved the prototyping so we are proceeding with mold making and the first color match sample will be ready in 4 weeks time... right on schedule for Spring release.

 

I still don't understand why this Pod is such a great thing - they already sell a steering column for $30 on ECStuning and PureMS . Is yours better quality? how much will your be?

Well the product I am making while it is similar to the products you mentioned it is completely different.

You can go to www.podi.ca to see the one made for the B6 and compare the fit and finish to the 'stick on' product ECS/PureMS sells.

The column pod we are making replaces the OEM column cover and is color and texture matched to look like it was put there by Audi.

It will cost more than the stick on column cover but there are consumer that prefer a product based on price. I have been asked by many, many people to develop a product for the B5 chassis as they wanted a product that looked a lot better and complemented the Audi interior vs. taking away from it.

Thats about what I was hoping that you were gonna say - I love your ride and your Podi looks great. I can't wait to see how good it looks in the B5

 

i know i am bringing this back from the dead, and feel like i am hounding you, but when are they going to be ready?

 

talked with him today, said that he received the first samples for the B5 today. just a few more things to do and they should be ready shortly
