B5 Question
I have a 97 1.8T Q and I was wondering if it was normal to have part of the suspension hovering about 3 inches above the wheel. It seems like if I wanted new wheels (bigger) and lowering springs then it wouldn't work out.
I assume you are talking about the upper control arms...they keep the same distance between the tire as the suspension compresses. So unless you get crazy with the drop you will have plenty of clearance...
Hey ColoradoA4, is the A4 in your avatar lowered with the stock wheels? Er, well I guess those wheels are the "sport" wheels or whatever, I'm wondering because I was thinking about lowering my B5 with the same wheels and was curious about how it would look. Thanks.
Here's my B5 ('00 1.8T Q M) lowered as low as she'll go, with stock "sport" 16" wheels, and without any significant ground clearance problems. My exhaust clears the road by about 3.5".
